After writing a review about Palermo’s bakery in November 2014 titled “Palermo’s Bakery – Revolutionizing The Way You Think Of ‘Bakeries’”, we decided to do a follow up visit to see if this brand new facility’s cafe’ would live up to the expectation that the bakery has used to build their outstanding 25 year reputation.
Until recently I had very little reason to visit Little Ferry, New Jersey. The neighborhood is not exactly a bastion of great dining, and there wasn’t much to lure me to the area.
That was until now! Located just seconds off of Route 46, once you notice the self standing gala on the left, you will realize, “You’re not in Kansas anymore.” Sophisticated and fashionable, elegant yet relaxed, this three in one establishment is in a genre of its own.
Giovanna and Gennaro Bruno had a vision. When I asked them, “why Little Ferry?” They replied, “We identified a need and filled it.”. And while bending the rules, they incorporated Palermo’s full service Bakery with Palermo’s Cafe’ combining a beautiful modern designed bakery with a brick oven cafe’.
